A Short Break

LOVELIEST of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide.

Now, of my threescore years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.

And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.

    Does this mean you are stepping away for a few days? If so, let me tell you that it is wonderful for your creativity. I enforced a week of silence upon myself … and now ideas for posts are landsliding out of my pea brain.

    How I wish! We are downsizing from a monster of a house in the city to an all on one floor apartment in the suburbs. I haven’t lived in the suburbs in thirty years, and I haven’t lived in anything as small as where we’re going since we were newlyweds. Lots of stuff to be gotten rid of.
